The PTN 900 series, with the case-shaped design, are 5G-oriented access-layer products that meet the GE/10GE/25GE site-to-site requirements. The series supports 50GE/100GE large-capacity ports to meet 5G ultra-broadband bearer requirements and low-speed service ports such as E1/STM-1 ports to access government and enterprise integrated services. The product supports SPN 5G bearer features, such as SR-TP, FlexE, and iFIT.

The OptiX PTN 990 is applied at the access and aggregation layers of a metropolitan transport network. The OptiX PTN 990 is used to build various bearer networks for mobile communication, and enterprises.

The OptiX PTN 990 device uses the following techniques to implement carrier-class service transmission and combines advantages of packet and SDH transport networks:

★Pseudo wire emulation edge-to-edge (PWE3) that provides connection-oriented transmission
★Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) that has been optimized for telecommunication bearer networks
★Mature operation, administration and maintenance (OAM)
★Protection switching mechanisms
